We offer whole, half sizes and custom patterns on our dance and bridal sandals.
Because sizes differ from one manufacturer to the next, we have an easy sizing method! Since your sandals will be made to your specifications, it is important that you follow these instructions to ensure that your handcrafted custom-made sandals fit you perfectly.
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to call us (831) 331-3714.
Download and print out the PDF files located below. Print out your normal street shoe size and then one size below this. The templates will show you where the side loops, toe loop holder and heel strap are placed. Take a ruler and place it along the measurement line printed on every template and check to see if the template printed without distortion. If it does distort, there are other ways of obtaining your size; please contact us.
Stand barefoot on the templates.
If you fall between whole sizes, order a ½ size. For example, if a 7 is too short and an 8 is too long, we will take the 8 and trim it down a bit on both the toe and heel edge. The toe loop holder will be moved back about 1/4”… you will not lose any of the width.
If the template length is good but you need some of the loops or the toe loop holder moved around to accommodate your foot shape, you may draw on the template and mail it to us for the necessary corrections.
Sometimes the templates don’t work because of printer issues OR your feet don’t fit in the boundaries comfortably. If you have very slender, narrow feet, wide feet, narrow heels, longer toes, etc, you can trace your feet and send the tracings to us. Please be sure to clearly communicate any issues you have had in the past with shoe fit. We’ll take a look and if there is any way we can fit you into a stock size we will. If a stock size does not work, you will need a custom pattern. We’ll create the pattern for you and mail it back for your approval. There is an additional fee for this service as it entails all hand work and thus takes longer. Patterns will be retained “forever” in our records so that you may easily order another pair. The Custom pattern fee is $25.00.
Stand barefoot on white paper. Holding a pencil at 90 degrees to the paper, trace very closely around your entire foot. Do not angle the pencil to go under your foot. If you make more than one line, please erase the incorrect ones. Take your pencil and squeeze it in between your big toe and second toe and draw a ¼” circle (this is where the toe loop holder will go, just like in a flip flop style sandal). Trace each foot on a separate piece of white paper, label with your contact information and send to:
